Overview

Sentient I Ching is published by Xan's Magic Apps. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is processed, and your rights with respect to that information.

Information You Provide

The app has two flows in which you may type personal text:

• Divinatory Reading: You may type a question or situation you are reflecting on before casting a reading.
• Psychological Reflection: You may type a personal question, feeling, conflict, or life situation to receive a reflective I Ching interpretation.

This text is the only personal content the app handles. We do not request your name, email address, account credentials, location, contacts, or any other identifying information.

How Your Text Is Processed

When you submit a question or reflection, your text is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a self-hosted AI proxy server at api.xansmagicapps.com. This proxy forwards the request to DeepSeek, an AI language model provider, to generate an interpretation.

No text you submit is stored on our server. The proxy processes each request in real time and discards it immediately after returning the AI-generated response. DeepSeek receives your query solely to generate the response.

AI-generated interpretations are cached locally on your device using Android's standard app storage so that identical queries do not repeat network calls. This data stays on your device and is removed when you clear app data or uninstall the app.

Data Storage & Retention

• Server-side: No user reading history or personal text is stored on our servers.
• On your device: Cached AI responses and your saved readings remain in the app's local storage on your device.
• Deletion: You can delete locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following external service:

• DeepSeek - AI language model provider. Your typed query is transmitted to DeepSeek via our self-hosted proxy solely to generate a response. DeepSeek's own privacy policy governs their handling of data: deepseek.com/privacy.

The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or any other third-party data processors beyond the AI service described above.

Security

All data transmitted between the app and our proxy server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not transmit user data over unencrypted connections.

Children's Privacy

Sentient I Ching is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Important Disclaimer

Sentient I Ching is a spiritual guidance and reflective tool rooted in the ancient I Ching tradition. It is provided for entertainment, reflection, and personal insight only.

The app is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. Content generated by the app is not a substitute for advice from a qualified mental health professional, physician, or licensed counselor.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
